Connecting a Digital Receiver to the DVD-
SOUNDMAN
Using digital coaxial audio cable:
You can use a receiver in combination with the DVD
SOUNDMAN.
What you will need:
• RCA cable
• Receiver with digital coaxial audio input
To connect to a receiver:
1. Connect one end of the RCA cable to the COAXIAL
output on the rear panel of the DVD-SOUNDMAN.
2. Connect the other end of the RCA cable to the
Digital Coaxial Audio input of your receiver.
NOTE: Microphone vocals are only present on the
MIXED L/R output channel. They are not present
on the Digital coaxial audio output.

Using digital optical audio cable:
You can use a receiver in combination with the DVD-
SOUNDMAN.
What you will need:
• Digital optical audio cable
• Receiver with digital optical audio input
To connect to a receiver:
1. Connect one end of the optical cable to the
OPTICAL output on the rear panel of the DVD-
SOUNDMAN.
2. Connect the other end of the optical cable to the
Digital Optical Audio input of your receiver.
NOTE: Microphone vocals are only present on the
MIXED L/R output channel. They are not present
on the Digital optical audio output.
