■ No safety pins or other sharp or pointed objects may be at-
tached to the device or inserted into it.
■ Do not switch on the device when it is folded up. It must al-
ways be spread out prior to use to prevent the build-up of heat.
■ For constant operation heat level 1 is recommended. This heat
level is also intended to be used for sleeping on the powered
device. The user may suer skin burns or heat stroke if sleep-
ing on the device with the temperature set high.
■ The device may only be used with the parts specied on the
device. Use only the QDK17-SX-BX control unit that is sup-
plied with the device.
■ Always check the device and accessories for damage or wear
before putting them into operation. It may only be used if it is
undamaged and does not display any signs of wear and tear.
■ Do not make any modications to the device. If the device or
its connecting cable are damaged, these components must be
replaced or repaired by the manufacturer, the customer service
department or a similarly qualied person (e.g. specialist work-
shop) in order to avoid any hazards.
■ The device must always be disconnected from the mains pow-
er when left unattended and before cleaning it.
■ Always allow the device to cool down completely before it is
washed, folded up and / or stored away.
■ When the device is not in use, it should be stored as follows:
Fold up the device loosely, do not press it together rmly or
bend it to ensure that the heating loops are not damaged. Do
not place any objects, animals or people on the folded device.

■ Use and store the device only in
closed rooms.
■ Do not operate or store the device in
rooms with high humidity.
■ Never touch the control unit or con-
necting cable which is connected to
mains power with wet hands.
■ Ensure that the control unit with con-
necting cable cannot fall into water or
become wet. In addition, the heated
underblanket must not get wet when it
is connected to the mains power.
■ Do not use the device if it has mal-
functioned or the control unit or the
connecting cable has been dropped
into water to avoid any hazards. Have
it checked in a specialist workshop
before using it again.
