USING THE TANK LADDER
Make sure that no children can access the area where the ladder is used or stored.
Review the SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS on p. 3 before using the ladder.
Only climb the ladder when the steps and handrails are clean and dry.
1. Only hook the ladder to a
structure capable of supporting the
combined weight of the ladder plus
its maximum rated load. See
SPECIFICATIONS on p. 2.
2. If the ladder is hooked over a lip,
for instance, at the top of a
wall/tank, the lip must be at least 3
inches tall to achieve a secure
connection. BOTH rubber pads
should firmly contact the surface of
the wall. See diagram below.
3. The ladder should hang vertically
from the wall. The longitudinal axis of
the ladder should be perpendicular
(90°) to the horizontal. If the shape of
a wall prevents the ladder from
hanging properly, DO NOT use the
ladder to climb that wall.
4. Climb straight up the ladder,
keeping your body centered over
the longitudinal axis. No more than 1
person at a time should occupy the
ladder.
