Step 3: Raise the deck to bring it to the level of the load. Press the foot pedal until the deck
reaches the desired height.
Step 4: Place the load on the deck. The load should rest against the vertical wall (the “back”) of the
deck. The center of the load should either align with the center of the deck or be behind it (see
red shaded areas in diagrams below). Secure it to the deck (with ratchet straps, for example) to
prevent sliding, rolling, etc.
Step 5: Press the release pedal (see RAISING AND LOWERING THE DECK on p. 18) to lower the
deck. Lower the deck to just a few inches above the ground before transporting the load.
At the unloading destination:
Lock the casters or set the brake or floor lock;
Pump the foot pedal to raise the deck to a comfortable height; and
Remove the load.
UStep 6U : Lower the deck and return the lifter to its storage location. Engage the brake or floor lock, if
so equipped. Store the lifter in a dry, indoor location.
