7 Operating
7.1 Starting the device
Connect the cable of the supplied power adapter to the [POWER] socket on the device. Plug
the power adapter into an outlet. If a battery is used, the battery gets charged. If no segment
of the charge status indicator is lit, the battery is exhausted and must be charged. If all 5 seg‐
ments are lit, charging is complete.
The device can be used during charging. Before you disconnect the device from the mains, the
battery should be fully charged. Press the main switch to start operation. The display shows
the current operating mode. The display is locked automatically if no key is pressed for 30 sec‐
onds. Press any button to release the key lock.
7.2 Navigating in the menu
1. Press [MENU] to activate the main menu.
2. Press [UP] or [DOWN] to change the currently displayed value. When the display shows
the desired value, conrm with [ENTER].
3. Press [MENU] to return to the main menu.
