Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING!
• For hygiene reasons, the unit must be cleaned before
and after each use.
•
Do not use organic solvents, boiling water, cleaners, or
strong acids or alkalis, etc. to clean the unit.
• Do not clean the evaporator.
•
Before cleaning or maintaining the unit, make sure that
it has been switched off and unplugged from the mains
socket. Let it cool completely and remove any ice cubes.
•
Never immerse the unit, power cord or plug in water
or any other liquid.
•
Clean the unit (inside and outside) with a soft, slightly damp
cloth.
• Drain the water tank and refill with fresh water every 24 hours
to ensure the quality of the ice cubes.
•
After use, leave the lid open to prevent mould and bacteria
growth.
Draining water from the water tank:
1.
Move the unit forwards until it hangs at least 10 cm off the edge
of the countertop and over the edge of a sink or container to
collect the water. Remove the drain plug on the bottom of the
unit to release the water.
2.
Tilt the appliance up to 30° to assist the draining. If there is
residual water in the ice making area, gently push the ice shovel
backwards so that all the water drains into the water tank.
3. After draining, insert the drain plug into the drain plug hole.
Cleaning the internal parts and flushing the pipes:
1. Fill the water tank to the MAX water level mark with water. If
there is a buildup of scale, you can use a solution of 50% water
and 50% white vinegar.
