Switching the appliance off
♦ To switch the device off, push the switch 1 to the
OFF
position.
♦ If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended period, remove the
plug from the power socket.
Note regarding overheating of the appliance
If the appliance overheats due to overloading, the overheat LED 4 lights up as
soon as a paper sheet touches the contact which starts the cutting process. The
appliance stops.
WARNING!
► Remove the power plug from the wall socket to avoid unintended restarting
of the appliance.
♦ Place the switch
1 in the
OFF
position.
♦ Empty the container.
♦ Allow the appliance to cool until it has cooled to room temperature.
♦ Put the mains plug back into the socket.
♦ Switch the appliance on by moving the switch
1 into the AUTO position.
Cleaning
DANGER!
► Always pull out the plug before cleaning the appliance. There is a risk of
electric shock!
WARNING!
► The cutters in the appliance are very sharp! Risk of injury!
ATTENTON!
Do not spray any oil or other lubricants into the cutter opening

These can irreparably damage the appliance.
♦ Remove any residue left in the cutting opening 2 or cutting blades with a
suitable tool, e.g. a pair of tweezers. Ensure that the appliance is unplugged
before doing this!
♦ Clean the appliance with a moist cloth. For stubborn dirt, add a little mild
detergent to the cloth.
