4.6 Installation
WARNING
Risk of electric shock
Always disconnect the power supply from the source before performing
any installation, maintenance, or repair work. Make sure that inadvertent
connection in circuit will be impossible!
If you are not a professional, do not do it yourself, have it performed by a
specialist.
Observe the following installation clearances:
Top: 40 mm, bottom: 20 mm, left and right: 5 mm
Increase the space by an additional 10-15 mm if the adjacent device is a heat source.
Install a multi-phase circuit breaker (e.g., residual current circuit breaker) and install a
correctly sized fuse or circuit breaker between the RCD and the product.
4.7 Product
Risk of electrical shock and energy hazard! All failure should be examined
by a qualified technician. Please do not remove the case of the power supply
by yourself!
Risk of electric arcs and electric shock (danger to life)! Connecting both
the primary and the secondary sides together is not allowed.
Risk of burn hazard! Do not touch the unit in operation and shortly after discon-
nection!
Risk of fire and short circuit. The openings should be protected from foreign
objects or dripping liquids.
Output current and output wattage must not exceed the rated value on its spe-
cification.
5 Installation guidelines and specifications
Data specifications are valid only under specific operating conditions unless otherwise
stated. If any of these conditions are different (e.g., lower input voltage, different load, or
a different temperature), the listed parameters may not apply or may vary. The specifica-
tions are applicable when:
The device is operating at its rated load (the maximum load or output current the
device is designed to handle).
The input voltage is 230 VAC (alternating current, 230 volts).
The ambient temperature is 25°C (standard room temperature).
Ripple & noise are measured from peak to peak with a bandwidth limit of 20 MHz (0.1 µF
and 47 µF/50 V parallel capacitor under DC output full load, AC nominal input, 25°C am-
bient temperature).
Installation clearances:
Top: 40 mm, Bottom: 20 mm, Left and right: 5 mm.
NOTE: Increase the space to 10-15 mm when the adjacent device is a heat source.
Efficiency test after 30 minutes of burn-in.
The ambient temperature derating of 3.5°C/1000 m for operating altitudes higher than
2000 m (6500 ft).
6 Cleaning
Important:
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions.
They damage the housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
Do not immerse the product in water.
1. Disconnect the product from the power supply at the source and prevent inadvertent con-
nection.
2. Let the product cool down to ambient temperature.
3. Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
