Method 3 – adding in ‘AP mode’
• Make sure your Wi-Fi network is within range and has internet access
• Connect the camera to the power supply
• Connect your phone to the Wi-Fi network
• Open the ‘Tuya Smart’ app. Click on the ‘+’ icon in the top right corner
or click on ‘Add device’ on the home page (Figure 14). Select ‘Camera
and lock’, click on ‘PTZ Camera (WI-FI)’ (Figure 15) to add the camera.
Change the pairing method to ‘WI-FI Mode’ in the upper right corner of
the page. Reset the device by pressing the Reset button for 5 seconds
(Figure 09). After restarting the camera, click ‘Next’ (Figure 16). On
the next page, select ‘AP Mode’ (Figure 17). Select your Wi-Fi network
(2.4 GHz networks only), enter the Wi-Fi password (Figure 18) and
click ‘Next’.
• Now switch your mobile phone to the Wi-Fi network ‘SmartLife-XXXX’
(Wi-Fi network emitted by the camera). If the app asks you to con-
nect to the ‘SmartLife-XXXX’ network, click ‘Connect’. If the app does
not ask you to connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi network, search for the
‘SmartLife-XXXX’ network in your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and connect
to it, then click ‘Connect now’ (Figure 19)
• The camera will start the process of registering the device in the cloud
and preparing it for operation, which may take several minutes (Figure
20). Do not disconnect the WI-FI connection during this time and do
not close the application
• After successfully adding the device, you can give the camera your
own name (Figure 21) and click ‘Finish’
Method 4 – adding in ‘EZ Mode’
• Make sure your Wi-Fi network is within range and has internet access
• Connect the camera to the power supply
• Connect your phone to the Wi-Fi network
• Open the ‘Tuya Smart’ app. Click on the ‘+’ icon in the top right corner
or click on ‘Add device’ on the home page (Figure 22). Select ‘Cam-
era and Lock’, click on ‘PTZ Camera (WI-FI)’ (Figure 23) to add the
camera. Change the pairing method to ‘WI-FI Mode’ in the upper right
