USAGE IN THE CAR
Device mounting
Tom can be mounted on any dashboard in any car, but do consider the following:
1.
The 3M adhesive on the mount is single-use and cannot be reused once applied
2.
Properly clean the surface to remove all dust and dirt
3.
Mount must be firmly attached to the dashboard – preferably on the flattest possible surface.
4.
The device should not obstruct your view of the road
5.
Avoid placing the product:
1.
in direct sunlight.
2.
on LCD or other screens/displays
3.
on surfaces that have airbags behind the dashboard/interior covers
Powering on and off
To power on Tom, press and hold the top button for at least three seconds.
Note: Powering on Tom is required only during initial setup. The device will automatically enter
sleep mode whenever the car is parked, and your phone is out of range. When you return to
the car, Tom automatically re-activates on motion detection and is ready for use.
To manua
lly power off Tom, press and hold the top button again. Please note that manually powering
off Tom is not needed after every drive, as it will go into sleeping mode. It will then wake up
automatically again the next time you get in the car.
Charging
Tom
Tom has a one-month battery life under normal conditions. Use the USB-C cable (included) to
charge your device. The USB adaptor allows you to charge your device using a USB-A
connector.
