• Takespecialcaretopreventthebatteryfrombeingshortedbymisconnectionofthebatterycable.
If the short occurs, the unit may fail.
Follow the instructions in this section for safe and secure connection.
• Besuretoswitchoffthesystempowerbeforebatteryconnection.Fortheprocedure,referto p. 24
“SWITCHINGOFFSYSTEMPOWER(DC)”
• Aftercompletingthebatteryconnection,besuretoattachaterminalcoverontoeachbatteryterminal
to prevent shorts between positive and negative terminals.

Tosecuretheconnectionbetweenthebatteryterminalandcable,besuretousethecableofspecieddiameter
and treat its end as follows.
Usable cable diameter: AWG 6 – AWG 0 (AWG 1/0)
(Line resistance should be within 4 mΩ in total.)
Stripped length: 30 mm ± 5 mm
Cross sectional area: 16 – 50 mm

terminal, be sure to fully open the cable clamp by turning
the terminal screw counterclockwise.
