Symptom Cause and Points to Check Remedy
Microphone’s Indicator
extinguishes while
speaking.
Is the Mic auto-o set to Enabled? When the Mic auto-o function is
set to Enabled, the microphone will
automatically turn o if silent for more
than 30 seconds. If pauses of 30
seconds or more are expected during
speaking, disable the Mic auto-o
function. (See p. 38.)
Is the conference mode set to Voice
activation?
In Voice activation mode, if a pause of
2 seconds or more is detected during
speaking, speaking is assumed to have
ended, turning o the microphone.
If the microphone turns o frequently
while speaking, use a dierent
conference mode. (See p. 36.)
Mic auto-o function
does not work.
Is the background noise level too high
due to air conditioners or the like?
There may be cases in which the Mic
auto-o function does not work in
locations where the background noise
level is high.
Install the units in locations with a low
noise level or disable the Mic auto-o
function. (See p. 38.)

Symptom Cause and Points to Check Remedy
Power not supplied. Is power supplied to the Master control
unit?
Correctly connect the power cord
and DC plug supplied with the Master
control unit.
Is the Microphone unit correctly
connected to the Master control unit?
Connect correctly. (See p. 26.)
The microphone
indicators of all
Conference units will
ash when the power
is turned ON.
Is the Master control unit’s Function
setting switch (2 : ID reset) set to OFF?
The Conference unit’s ID number may
be duplicated.
In such cases, turn on Switch 2 on the
Master control unit’s Function setting
switch (31) for ID reset (P. 11) or reset
the ID number using the browser.
Refer to the separate Instruction Manual
(Browser Settings)*.
Unable to
start speaking.
Connected correctly? Connect correctly. (See p. 26.)
Is the conference mode correctly set? Use the conference mode best suited to
the type of conference to be held.
(See p. 36.)
• The Talk key cannot be used to start
speaking if the mode is set to Voice
activation.
• Delegate units cannot be used
for speaking if the mode is set to
Chairman only.
