BEFORE USE PLEASE CHECK FOR LEAKS
Never check for leaks with a naked ame, always use a soapy water solution
4. LIGHTING YOUR BARBECUE
1. Before lightning make sure to:
1. Open the appliance’s lid!
2. Turn all the appliance’s control knobs to the OFF position.
3. Connect the gas cylinder to the barbecue grill (as per above instructions).
4. Turn the cylinder valve on. Check the cylinder, regulator and hose connections for
leakage using soapy water (see paragraph 3 above – CHECK FOR LEAKS). Leakage
will show as bubbles. If leak is found, do not use the barbecue!
2. To light one of the main burners, push down and turn burner’s control knob 90° anti-
clockwise (full rate position). An audible click will be heard, this should light the burner.
If not, repeat the process. If the burner has not lit after two attempts, turn the cylinder
valve o, turn control knobs o and wait 5 minutes before retrying the ignition sequence.
3. When the burner is lit, it can be adjusted by turning the knob between full and low rate
position.
4. To light other main burners, follow the 2-3 steps.
5. To light the side burner, open its lid rst! Follow 2-3 steps to light the side burner with the
use of the side burner control knob.
6. To turn the barbecue o, turn the cylinder valve o. Then, once the ame have
extinguished, turn all control knobs on the appliance to the OFF position.
Warning: If any burner fails to ignite twice in a row, turn the cylinder valve o and turn the
control knob to OFF position. Wait 5 minutes before attempting to relight with ignition
sequence.
5. GRILLING
• Do not use this appliance to heat materials and substances other than food!
• Food can be barbecued on the cooking grid either with or without the lid being closed.
When the lid is closed for 3-5 minutes, the lid must be open for 1 min to release heat and
avoid grease re.
• When using for the rst time, the grill should be lit and alight for at least 15 minutes
(recommended 30 minutes) before placing food on the cooking area.
SIDE BURNER COOKING
Pot with 200-220 mm diameter is suitable for use with the side burner.
• Clean this device after each use for optimum operation!
• It is suggested to perform “burning o” of the barbecue after every use (for approx 15
minutes) which will keep excessive food residue to a minimum:
1. Close the lid, and turn up the temperature to 300°C.
