Optimizing motion detection
• The camera’s passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor is designed to detect heat signatures from moving objects.
For optimal detection, position the camera at a slight downward angle to minimize sky visibility and avoid
pointing it directly at trees or bushes.
• The camera is most effective when objects move across its eld of view. Angle it to capture side-to-side
movement rather than movement toward or away from the camera. This setup helps minimize false triggers
and increases the likelihood of capturing important activity.
• If you’re getting too many false alerts, try lowering the motion detection sensitivity. Keep in mind that higher
sensitivity increases battery usage. You can also set up specic motion detection zones to focus on areas of
interest and reduce unnecessary alerts.
