Customizing the Detection Range
1. Detection Range: Select Customize in the drop-down menu.
2. Click and drag any red square (sizing handle) in the corners of
the rectangle to shape and customize the facial detection area.
You can resize the rectangle to any shape or size to exclude the
area in which facial recognition isn’t needed. See below for an
example.
Detection Mode: In Static Mode, all objects in the camera’s field of view will be ana-
lyzed. In Motion Mode, only moving objects will be analyzed.
Rule Kind: Leave the default selection.
Detection Range: The entire view of the camera is enabled for facial recognition
detection. Select Customize to change the default detection area (see instructions
above right).
Visible Area: If Disable is selected, the green tracking frame that surrounds a detect-
ed face will not be visible during Live View mode and FR event playback.
FaceMask Detection: Enable this to allow the camera to detect a face mask other-
wise leave it disabled.
Save: Click this to save any changes made, then click “OK” to continue.

3. When finished, click the “Save” button.
Right-click to exit.
