INSTALLATION
Commissioning

Property damage
Observe the type plate. The specified voltage must match
the mains power supply.
f Pull off the temperature selector.
f Remove the screws at the bottom of the control panel cover.
Remove it.
f Select a cable of the cross-sectional area suited to the load of
the appliance.
f Prepare the power cable.

f Ensure that the protective conductor is longer than the other
conductors.
f Feed the power cable through the cable entry into the control
panel.
f Connect the required load to the terminal block in the appli-
ance in accordance with the wiring diagrams.

f Information on the connection options can be found in chap-
ter “Specification/ Wiring diagrams and connections”)
f Fit the control panel cover.
f Push on the temperature selector.
f Appliance type with dual circuit operation: Use a ballpoint
pen to mark the selected connected load and voltage on the
type plate.
f If the power supply utility does not permit rapid heat-up,
cover the button using the plastic cap provided.
10. Commissioning
10.1 Initial start-up
f Fill the system with water.

Boiling dry destroys the thermostat, which must then
be replaced. The high limit safety cut-out must be reset.

Property damage
If an indirect coil is installed in the same cylinder, limit
the maximum temperature for this appliance to the maxi-
mum temperature for the flanged immersion heater. This
prevents the tempering device of the flanged immersion
heater from responding.
f Switch the appliance on electrically.

f Explain the functions of the appliance to the user. Show the
user how to operate the appliance.
f Make users aware of potential dangers.
f Hand over these instructions.

11. Settings
Limiting the temperature selection
You can adjust the temperature selection limit beneath the tem-
perature selector.
Factory setting: 60°C
f Set the temperature selector to “cold” and isolate the appli-
ance from the power supply.
f Remove the temperature selector and the control panel
cover.

f You can set the limit to 45°C or 60°C by rotating the limiter
disc. After removing the limiter disc, the maximum tempera-
ture can be set.
