Connection of the EMMeter
When you confirm the connection prompt, you are taken auto-
matically to the user interface of the EMMeter.
Depending on the browser you are using, a security risk may be
reported (browser certificate settings).
u Click on "Extended".
u Click on "Accept risk and continue".
u Log into the EMMeter using the password. The password
can be found on the EMMeter type plate.
u Accept the request for access from the ISG in the "Profile"/
"Access key" menu by clicking on "Authorise".
You can log out from the user interface of the EM Meter and
close the browser window. The status of the EMMeter changes
in SERVICEWELT after a few minutes to "Connected" ("Profile"/
"External connections: STE EM Meter")
u Check that the status of the EMMeter in SERVICEWELT
changes after a few minutes to "Connected" ("Profile"/ "Ex-
ternal connections: STE EM Meter").
Connection of the SOLARWATT Manager flex
u Open the menu "Profile"/ "External connections: SOLAR-
WATT Manager flex").
u Start a search for the SOLARWATT Manager flex in the local
network ("Device search"). The search process may take a
few seconds. The hit list contains the devices found, with
name, serial number and IP address.
u Select the preferred device.
u Click on "Connect".
u The status of the SOLARWATT Manager flex changes in SER-
VICEWELT after a few minutes to "Connected" ("Profile"/
"External connections: SOLARWATT Manager flex")
u Check that the status of the SOLARWATT Manager flex
changes in SERVICEWELT after a few minutes to "Connec-
ted" ("Profile"/ "External connections: SOLARWATT Manager
flex").
6 Settings
6.1 ISG Internet Service Gateway settings
u Go to menu "Settings"/ "Energy management" to adjust
your system to suit your individual building and usage situ-
ation. There are 4 sections available with settings for
EMTrend:
ð Building properties
ð Photovoltaic system
ð Heat pump system
ð Heat pump operation
u Once you have adjusted all required settings, click on "Save"
in the relevant section. After saving, the values are then
transferred to the ISG.
u Activate EMTrend energy management in the menu "Set-
tings"/ "Energy management"/ "Heat pump operation".
NOTICE: If the energy management configuration cannot be
saved, delete the browser cache or use a different internet
browser (e.g. Google Chrome).
6.1.1 Building properties
Country
u To receive a weather forecast, select the country where the
building is located.
Postal code
u To receive a weather forecast, select the postcode for the
building location. The postcode must comply with the
standardised postcode format.
Construction
u Specify the construction of the building.
This is used to calculate the heat storage capacity of the build-
ing. EM Trend automatically adjusts this value based on the
continuously determined measured values of the building beha-
viour.
– Lightweight construction = building with low thermal capa-
city (wood/ timber frame construction)
– Medium construction
– Solid construction = building with high thermal capacity
(tiles with external insulation and concrete ceilings)
Heated living space
u Specify the heated living space of the building.
This is used to calculate the heat storage capacity of the build-
ing.
6.1.2 PV system
You can configure up to three PV module arrays. PV modules
oriented to the same point of the compass can be combined in
one module array.
Output of PV module array
u Enter the rated output of the PV module array.
The rated output is calculated from the number of photovoltaic
modules multiplied by the rated photovoltaic module output

the photovoltaic module datasheet. If you do not have the values
available and you do not know the module type of your system,
contact your PV system installer.
