In the „Z Coordinate“ page, press 1.OCC.PT INPUT to go to
the next page as in gure o.
Point 4 will be displayed, press F3 NEZ to display the
coordinates of the currently occupied point. Comparing
with Figure c, it can be seen that the horizontal coordinate
has not changed, but the Z coordinate has been updated
with the new height.
11.4. AREA
The Area function is used to calculate the area and
perimeter of a polygon by measuring an actual vertex.
Press 4.AREA in the „Program“ menu (g. a). Aim at the
center of the prism at point 1, press F1 MEAS to measure
the distance (g. c). The coordinate will be displayed on
the screen (g. d). Aim at the center of the prism at point
2, press F1 MEAS to measure the distance (g. e). The
perimeter and coordinate of point 2 will be displayed (in
fact it is the HD from point 1 to point 2), without the surface
area (g. f). Aim at the center of the prism at point 3, press
F1 MEAS to measure the distance (g g). The coordinate of
point 3 and the surface area and perimeter between points
1-2-3 will be displayed (Figure 4). Aim at the center of the
prism at point 4, press F1 MEAS (g i), the coordinate of
point 4 and the surface area and perimeter of points 1-2-3-
4 will be displayed (g j).
You can measure the left vertices and the device will
calculate the surface area and perimeter from the current
points. The measurement of vertices should be in the
following order: point 1 → point 2 → point 3 ..., clockwise
or counterclockwise. After measuring, press F3 UNIT to
change the unit of surface area or perimeter.
11.5. POINT TO LINE
As shown in the gure, the point-to-line theory is as
follows:
measure the distance between any two points P1 and P2,
set P1 as the starting point, and the azimuth from P1 to P2
as the N axis. The equipment will calculate the horizontal
coordinates NA and EA for the occupied point A.
Then measure another point P to calculate NP, EP and
ZP coordinates for point P. EA and EP should be vertical
distances from point A / P to line P1-P2.
Position the instrument at point A. Press 5.Point to Line in
the „Program“ menu (g. a) and enter the coordinate list
(g. b). Press F4 ENT to select the le and enter the page for
the rst point (g. c). Press F2 R.HT to input the instrument
height and reector height (g. d). Press F4 ENT to conrm.
Aim at the prism center at point P1, press F1 MEAS, the
device will go to the page for point 2 (g. f). Aim at the
prism center at point P2 (g. g), press F1 MEAS. The screen
will show the values of dSD, dHD and dVD from points P1
to P2 (g. h).
Press F4 OCC to display the coordinates of point A in an
independent coordinate system (g. i). E0 = 21,439 means
that point A is to the right of the line P1-P2 at a vertical
distance of 21,439m.
Press F4 P1 / P2 to go back to the page in g. h. Press
F1 NEZ to enter the coordinate measurement page. Aim at
point P and press F4 MEAS to calculate the coordinate in
this independent system (g. k).
E0 = -9.844m, the station point P is to the left of the P1-P2
line with a vertical distance of 9.744m.
Press F1 EXIT or ESC to exit the function of point to line.
12. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
a) Use only non-corrosive cleaners to clean the surface.
b) After cleaning the device, all parts should be dried
completely before using it again.
c) Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight.
d) Do not spray the device with a water jet or submerge
it in water.
Press F4 ENT to see the coordinates of point 1, press F4 YES
to conrm. Input the height of the instrument (g. d) and
press F4 ENT to conrm.
Press 2.REF MEAS to enter the reference point measurement
page (g. f). Press F2 LIST to enter the list of points, move
the cursor to point 4 (g. g) to be required and press ENT
to display the coordinates of point 4 (g. h). Press F4 YES
and input R.Ht F4 ENT to conrm.
Aim at the prism center at point 4, press F4 YES to start the
measurement. The result is shown in g. k. Press F4 CALC
(g. l) and F4 SET to calculate the azimuth from point 1 to
point 4 (g. m). Press F4 YES to position the instrument
correctly (g. n).
e) The device must be regularly inspected to check its
technical eciency and spot any damage.
f) Do not leave the battery in the device if it will not be
used for a longer period of time.
g) Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning.
h) Do not use sharp and/or metal objects for cleaning
(e.g. a wire brush or a metal spatula) because they
may damage the surface material of the appliance.
i) Do not clean the device with an acidic substance,
agents of medical purposes, thinners, fuel, oils or
other chemical substances because it may damage
the device.
SAFE REMOVAL OF BATTERIES AND RECHARGEABLE
BATTERIES
1.5V AAA batteries are installed in the devices. Remove
used batteries from the device using the same procedure
by which you installed them. Recycle batteries with the
appropriate organisation or company.
DISPOSING OF USED DEVICES
Do not dispose of this device in municipal waste systems.
Hand it over to an electric and electrical device recycling
and collection point. Check the symbol on the product,
instruction manual and packaging. The plastics used to
construct the device can be recycled in accordance with
their markings. By choosing to recycle you are making
