3.2. PREPARING FOR USE
Ambient conditions
The device should be used in a working environment with
the following parameters:
Ambient temperature 0-40°C
Ambient humidity < 85%RH
APPLIANCE LOCATION
Ensure good ventilation in the room in which the device
is being used. There should be at least 10 cm distance
between each side of the device and the wall or other
objects. The device should always be used when positioned
on an even, stable, clean, reproof and dry surface, and
be out of the reach of children and persons with limited
mental and sensory functions. Position the device such that
you always have access to the power plug. The power cord
connected to the appliance must be properly grounded
and correspond to the technical details on the product
label.
ASSEMBLING THE DEVICE
Before starting to use the device, install the temperature
probe correctly.
a) Place the pole in the holder. The hole overhang
should enter the groove in the bottom part of the
post.
b) Fit the adjusting element and tighten the clamping
knob.
c) Place the probe clamp into the adjusting element
and tighten the clamping knob.
d) Place the probe in the clamp and make sure it is
correctly clamped. The probe should be oriented
with the cable upwards.
e) Connect the probe cable to the suitable socket in the
housing of the device.
f) The device is ready to use.
3.3. DEVICE USE
a) Pour the liquid into the container and insert the
magnetic stirrer into the liquid.
b) Place the vessel with liquid on the workplate. Dip
the tip of the temperature sensor into the liquid to a
depth of at least 20 mm. The recommended depth is
2/3 of the height of the liquid. When using a metal
container, do not place temperature probe on the
bottom of the container. Placing the temperature
probe on the bottom of the container may result in
an incorrect measurement reading. The end of the
measuring probe must be at least 5 mm from the
bottom of the container; a distance of 10 mm is the
best.
c) Plug the power cord into the device and into the
electrical outlet.

2.3. PERSONAL SAFETY
a) Do not use the device when tired, ill or under the
inuence of alcohol, narcotics or medication which
can signicantly impair the ability to operate the
device.
b) The device is not designed to be handled by persons
(including children) with limited mental and sensory
functions or persons lacking relevant experience
and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by
a person responsible for their safety or they have
received instruction on how to operate the device.
c) When working with the device, wear personal
protective equipment that prevents:
splashing or contact with evaporating liquid,
contact with toxic or ammable gases.
d) To prevent accidental starting, make sure the knobs
are in o position before connecting to the power
source.
e) The device is not a toy. Children must be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with the device.
2.4. SAFE DEVICE USE
a) Do not use the device if the knobs or control buttons
do not function properly. Devices that cannot be
controlled by the controls are dangerous, may not
be operated and must be repaired.
b) Disconnect the device from the power supply
before commencement of adjustment, cleaning and
maintenance. Such a preventive measure reduces
the risk of accidental activation.
c) When not in use, store in a safe place, away from
children and people not familiar with the device who
have not read the user manual. The device may pose
a hazard in the hands of inexperienced users.
d) Keep the device in perfect technical condition.
Before each use check for general damage and
especially check for cracked parts or elements and
for any other conditions which may impact the safe
operation of the device. If damage is discovered,
hand over the device for repair before use.
e) Keep the device out of the reach of children.
f) Device repair or maintenance should be carried out
by qualied persons, only using original spare parts.
This will ensure safe use.
g) To ensure the operational integrity of the device, do
not remove factory-tted guards and do not loosen
any screws.
h) Do not move, adjust or rotate the device in the
course of work.
i) Do not leave this appliance unattended while it is in use.
j) Clean the device regularly to prevent stubborn grime
from accumulating.
k) The device is not a toy. Cleaning and maintenance
may not be carried out by children without
supervision by an adult person.
l) It is forbidden to interfere with the structure of
the device in order to change its parameters or
construction.
m) Keep the device away from sources of re and heat.
n) NOTE! When the heating function is being used, the
workplate warms up to a high temperature. Do not
touch the hot parts of the device as they may cause
burns.
o) Heated liquid can cause burns. It is advisable to use
gloves when handling a vessel lled with hot liquid.
Take special care not to spill the liquid.
p) When working with ammable materials, pay special
attention that the set heating temperature is not too
high.
q) Make sure that the liquid container can withstand
the set heating temperature. A melted container may
cause a re.
r) Never heat an empty container.
s) Control the amount of liquid in containers. The liquid
may evaporate.
t) Spilling the ammable contents of the container
onto the heating elements of the device may cause a
re.
u) The set heating temperature must be at least 25°C
lower than the ignition temperature of the stirred
substance.
v) Special attention must be paid to the hazards arising
from:
Flammable materials and substances with low
boiling point
Overlled containers
Containers made of brittle material or of low
melting point
w) Pathogenic materials must be stirred only in closed
containers.
x) Do not cover the device while it is in operation.
y) Make sure that the power cord does not touch any
heated parts of the device.
z) Keep the device away from strong magnetic elds.
aa) Do not use metal vessels or vessels with a thick
bottom. This will make work with the device more
dicult.b
bb) When mixing viscous liquids reduce the rotational
speed and mix a small volume of liquid only.
cc) The device can work continuously for 8 hours at
moderate speed and 4 hours at high mixing speed.
3. USE GUIDELINES
The device is designed for use in laboratories, schools,
universities, and similar institutions. It is used for non-
contact stirring and for heating liquids in laboratory vessels.
The user is liable for any damage resulting from
unintended use of the device.
ATTENTION! Despite the safe design of the device
and its protective features, and despite the use of
additional elements protecting the operator, there
is still a slight risk of accident or injury when using
the device. Stay alert and use common sense when
using the device.
h) Keep packaging elements and small assembly parts
in a place not available to children.
i) Keep the device away from children and animals.
REMEMBER! When using the device, protect
children and other bystanders.
