The product includes a device to prevent the handle and ratchet pawl from loosening.
The product requires intentional release in a tensioned state to ensure safety.
Safety Requirements
The product must be free from pressure loss or shear points, as these can pose a risk of injury to the
operator during use.
When the binder is in a tightened state and the tensioner suddenly loosens, the recoil stroke must not
exceed 150 mm.
The design prevents unintentional release of tension.
The device requires an intentional action to release tension throughout its mechanism.
Applying a maximum force of 500N to the handle should result in the dn 10 chain achieving at least 0.25
times its tensioning capacity, ensuring sufficient residual stress.
When manually loosening the tightening device’s screw rod, the engagement length of the screw rod in
the ratchet barrel must not be too shortgenerally not less than 3D (where D is the internal thread
diameter).
DANGER
Improperly secured loads or load parts can endanger people, pets, and goods in the
vehicle’s vicinity, posing direct or indirect safety and health risks.
Risks from load shifts or releases on roads, including contact with buildings, other
vehicles, and structures (e.g., tunnels, bridges).
The risk of vehicle overturning during maneuvers due to load movement and uneven
weight distribution.
Risks related to load release on ships, double parking of vehicles, and health and safety
hazards for staff.
Risks from load release on trains, affecting oncoming trains, rail traffic, stations, and
personnel safety.
Hazards for drivers and passengers.
Danger of loads sliding forward during braking, damaging the cab.
Hazards from contact with overhead power lines involving workers, loads, or lashing
equipment.
Maintenance
If any damage is detected, suspend use and return the equipment to the manufacturer for repair. Signs of
damage include:
Chain: Surface cracks, elongation over 3%, wear exceeding 10% of the nominal diameter, or visible
deformation.
Connecting parts and tension devices: Deformation, cracks, wear, corrosion, or other visible damage.
Only use the products with clear markings and labels. Do not exceed the maximum hand force of 500N. Avoid
using mechanical tools (e.g., levers, bars) unless they are an integral part of the tensioning device.
