3.2. Preparing for use
APPLIANCE LOCATION
The temperature of environment must not be higher than 40°C and the relative humidity should be less
than 85%. Ensure good ventilation in the room in which the device is being used. There should be at least
10 cm distance between each side of the device and the wall or other objects. The device should always be
used when positioned on an even, stable, clean, fireproof and dry surface, and be out of the reach of
children and persons with limited mental and sensory functions. Position the device such that you always
have access to the power plug. The power cord connected to the appliance must be properly grounded
and correspond to the technical details on the product label.
3.3. Device use
Button Descriptions and Functions:
1. “CAL” (Calibration):
o This button is used to calibrate the scale. Calibration ensures accurate measurements by
resetting the scale to its default settings.
2. “Unit”:
o This button switches the measurement units displayed on the scale.
o Common options include kilograms (kg), pounds (lb).
o Press this button to toggle through the available unit options.
3. “ON/OFF TARE”:
o ON/OFF:
Turns the scale on or off. Press the button once to turn the device on. Press and hold
it to turn it off.
o “TARE”:
Resets the scale to zero when an object is already on the platform. This allows you to
measure the weight of additional items without including the initial weight.
Example: Place a container on the scale, press the TARE button to reset the display
to zero, and then add items to the container to measure their weight directly.
Calibration Instructions
Standard Calibration with Buttons
The calibration process can be performed using a single-point calibration method with either a 50 kg or 25
kg calibration weight.
1. Enter Calibration Mode:
o Ensure the scale is powered on.
o Press and hold the "CAL" button until the display enters calibration mode.
2. Calibrate with 50 kg:
o When the display shows CAL → internal code → 50.00KG, place a 50 kg calibration weight on
the scale.
o Wait until the display shows PASS, indicating that the calibration is complete.
3. Calibrate with 25 kg:
o After entering calibration mode (as above), the display will initially show 50.00KG.
o Press the "CAL" button again to switch to 25 kg calibration mode. The display will change to
25.00KG.
o Place a 25 kg calibration weight on the scale.
o Wait until the display shows PASS, indicating that the calibration is complete.
