IP address of a client player is configured
incorrectly and connection fails.
Edit the configuration file to reset the IP address using the following procedure.
1. Log in to Windows on the Master Player PC.
2. Open Command Prompt as an administrator, and execute the following commands.
A> sc stop SSVR_Player_Service
B> C:
C> cd "C:\ProgramData\Sony\SonicSurfVR\Player"
D> start ssvr_pl.ini
3. When start ssvr_pl.ini opens in Notepad, edit the file as follows.
Aspeakerunit=12 (set number of speaker units to 12)
B[MultiData] client1= (leave the IP address blank)
4. Save the file and exit Notepad.
5. Open Command Prompt again, and execute the following command.
> sc start SSVR_Player_Service
* Wait until initialization is completed. This may take several minutes.
6. Launch a web browser, and log in to the Master Player PC.
7. Check that the IP address of the Client Player PC is blank on the Settings screen, and
configure the correct number of speaker units and IP address.
“OVER” is displayed for [Word Clock
Frequency] on the System Status screen.
If the word clock generator setting is 88.2 kHz or higher (88.2 kHz, 96 kHz, 176 kHz, or
192 kHz), “OVER” is displayed in red for [Word Clock Frequency] on the System Status screen
of the Player. In this case, turn off the Player PC and control units, set the word clock generator
setting to 48 kHz, and then turn on the Player PC and control units again.
