Connecting
Checking Audio Output
You can check the output from all speaker units connected in
the system using the test audio source on a Player PC.
After connecting a system, you can run a test to make sure
there are no problems with the system connections and no
problems with the audio output from the speakers.
This test can be performed even without having registered a
license.

Log in to Player software (on the Main Player PC in a
multi player system) as a Full Control User.
For details about logging in, refer to the operation manual
for the Player software.

Select [Settings] in the menu list, and set the layout
and number of speaker units. In a multi player system,
also check the IP addresses of the Sub Player PCs.
Enter the number of speaker units connected in the
system, enter the IP addresses of the Sub Player PCs
correctly, and press [Save].

Select [System Status] from the menu list, and check
the status of the control units and speakers.
Check that there are no errors or warnings displayed, and
that the number of speaker units is correct.
For details about errors and warnings, see
“Troubleshooting” (page 22) and refer to the operation
manual for the Player software.

Select [Diagnostic] from the menu list, and configure
the following as desired.
• Play time per speaker unit: Select the output duration
per speaker unit (Quick (0.5s), Fast (4s), Normal (8s),
Slow (12s)).
When [Quick] is selected, sound is output
simultaneously from all speakers (channels) of the
speaker unit, allowing you to check the output of each
speaker unit. When another option is selected, sound is
output from each speaker of the speaker unit in
sequence, allowing you to check the output of each
speaker one at a time.
• Start Unit Number: Enter the number of the speaker unit
from which to start output.

Press the [Play] button.
The test audio signal is output from the specified speaker
unit.
During test audio output, you can control playback using
the Stop/Still and Play bar on the browser screen of the
tablet or other device.
Registering a License
License registration to use Sonic Surf VR is required.
This section describes how to register a purchased license.

Registering a license
• When a Subscription license is registered:
Observe the following points when registering an additional license
within the period of validity of an existing registered Subscription license.
– If the number of channels covered by the registered license and the
additional license are the same, the number of days of valid use of the
additional license is added to the remaining days of valid use of the
registered license.
– If the number of channels covered by the registered license and the
additional license are different, the number of days of valid use of the
additional license becomes the period of use. It is not added to the
remaining days of valid use of the registered license.
• When a Perpetual license is registered:
If you want to increase the number of channels temporarily, you can
overwrite with a Subscription license for the required number of
channels. When the Subscription license period of validity expires, the
number of channels of the original Perpetual license is automatically
restored.
• In a multi player system, register licenses on the Main Player PC. After
registration, the Main Player PC and Sub Player PCs that comprise a
multi player system will operate as a single system. If a Sub Player PC
is disconnected from a multi player system, it cannot then be operated
alone as a single player system.
