5. How to use
5.1 Assembling the device
Before the device can be put into operation,
the base7 must be screwed on and the ca-
ble spool holders9 must be attached.
1. Figure B: put the back half of the
base11 and the front half of the
base12 together. Ensure that the con-
nection audibly clicks into place.
2. Figure C: place the base7 on the tow-
er heater1. Align the base so that the
guide pin16 on the underside of the
tower heater1 is inserted into the re-
cess14 on the base.
3. Screw the tower heater1 onto the
base7. For this purpose, use the nut13
supplied.
4. Figure A: insert the cable spool hold-
ers9 into the recesses provided at the
back of the tower heater1.
5.2 Setting up the device
FIRE HAZARD!
~ The device must only be set up on a sol-
id, level, dry and non-flammable sur-
face. For example, the device must not
be placed on a deep-pile carpet.
~ When setting up the device, keep a min-
imum distance of 50 cm all around from
other devices and walls. The distance
upwards must be at least 100 cm.
~ There must be no flammable objects
(e.g. curtains, paper, etc.) in close prox-
imity to the device during operation.
• Select a location which complies with
the safety instructions.
• Select a location where people, animals or
plants are not in the immediate proximity.
• Ensure that the device is standing se-
curely.
6. Operation
6.1 Putting the device into
operation and switch-
ing it off
1. Insert the mains plug8 into a mains
socket corresponding to the technical
specifications.
2. Switch on the power supply by setting
the on/off switch5 on the back of the
tower heater1 to I.
The device is now ready to use.
3. Turn off the power supply by setting the
on/off switch5 to O.
6.2 Fan operation
You can use the device as a fan without the
heating function.
1. Switch on the device with the on/off
switch5.
2. Turn the heat selector
3
to the symbol .
3. If necessary, slowly turn the thermostat
control2 towards MAX until you hear
a click. The device is now in fan mode.
4. Stop the fan mode by switching off the
device with the on/off switch5.
6.3 Selecting the heat out-
put
You can choose between two heat output
levels with the heat selector3:
• Turn the heat selector3 to the desired
heat output level.
Heat output level 1:
Device operates at 750 watt
Heat output level 2:
Device operates at 1,500 watt
