10.8 Using the spatula
The spatula22 is used to stir the ingredients and to remove
the cooking pot20.
CAUTION:
~ The spatula22 must not be used with the mixer attach-
ment21 in place. Otherwise, the spatula22 might be
caught in the mixer attachment21.
~ Do not use any other kitchen utensil to stir the ingredi-
ents. The utensil might get into the blades and cause
damage.
•Always stir clockwise. The spatula22 is designed
such that when stirring clockwise it cannot come into
contact with the blade assembly19 even if that is run-
ning.
• The hook on the rear of the spatula22 can be used to
remove the hot cooking pot20 without having to
touch it directly. Simply hook on the metal bracket of
the cooking pot20 and pull it out upwards.
Tips for changing the tip and for cleaning: (see “Cleaning,
checking and replacing the spatula” on page 35).
10.9 Removing the blender jug
DANGER! Risk of injury through burning!
~ If the contents of the blender jug5 are hot, the lid24
must be opened slowly and carefully.
~ The mass in the blender jug is still in motion immediate-
ly after puréeing and could spill out if the lid is opened
too quickly. Therefore, wait approx. 10 seconds after
puréeing before opening the lid.
1. Press and turn the lid24 with both hands anticlock-
wise and then remove it.
2. Remove the blender jug5 upwards.
11. Operating the device
For safety reasons, the settings described in this chapter,
can only be selected when the device has been assembled
completely.
11.1 Power supply
• Connect the mains plug16 to a suitable wall socket.
The wall socket must still be easily accessible after con-
nection.
• Pull only as much cable as necessary out of the cable
compartment17.
11.2 Switching the device on and off
NOTE: switching on for the first time is described in chap-
ter “Switching on for the first time and connecting to the In-
ternet” on page 10.
• Set the on/off switch7 at the rear on the right to I:
- The touchscreen8 lights up.
- After some time a signal sounds and the start menu
appears on the screen.

• Set the on/off switch7 on the back to 0 to switch the
device off.
