5. Setup
5.1. Warnings and Precautions
Attention
Connect all data cables before supplying power.
Disconnect power supply before connecting or disconnecting data cables.
5.2.
Setup Example
The Melodist Install can be controlled with a DMX signal (see 6.2. Control Modes on page 18) through the 3-
pin Phoenix terminal connector for DMX IN (07). Alternatively, external trigger devices can be used through the
4-pin GPIO Phoenix terminal connector IN for triggers (04).
Note:
If there is a DMX signal, it overrules trigger inputs 1 through 6.
To set up the Melodist Install, follow the steps below:
01) Connect a DMX controller to the 3-pin Phoenix terminal connector for DMX IN (07).01)
02) Connect the external trigger devices to the 4-pin GPIO Phoenix terminal connector IN for triggers (04) (see02)

03) Insert the SD card (see 5.3. SD Card on page 14) with WAV files into the SD card slot (09).03)
04) Connect speakers to the 3-pin Phoenix terminal connector for balanced audio OUT (Left) (02) and the 3-pin04)
