5.3. Setup Example
The Showtec IP Pixel Controller (see 3.4. Optional Accessories on page 9) is required to drive the IP Pixelstrip 40.
Multiple IP Pixelstrip 40 devices can be connected to the IP Pixel Controller in various configurations.
To connect multiple IP Pixelstrip 40 devices to the IP Pixel Controller, follow the steps below:
01) Connect the IP Pixel Controller to the 1

IP Pixelstrip 40 device with the dedicated IP65 signal/power01)

IP Pixelstrip 40 device.
02) Connect the 1

IP Pixelstrip 40 device to the 2

IP Pixelstrip 40 device (see 4.6. Connecting Multiple02)

03) Repeat step 2 for any additional IP Pixelstrip 40 devices.03)
04) Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other outputs of the IP Pixel Controller.04)

Note:
The IP Pixel controller can control 4 meters of IP Pixelstrip devices per output, for a total of 16 meters per IP Pixel
Controller. The maximum cable length from the IP Pixel Controller until the 1
st
IP Pixelstrip is 20 meters. The
maximum cable length from the IP Pixel Controller until the last IP Pixelstrip in a chain is 30 meters. It is possible to
mix IP Pixelstrip 40 devices with IP Pixelstrip 80 devices, as long as the maximum output length is followed.
