5.2 Special functions
5.2.1 Auto Hold-Function (AXLD: ON)
With the auto hold function, a constant value is automatically determined and "frozen"/held
in the display: „XLD“.
The stability criteria is: the measured value must not change by more than 0.1K within 15
seconds.
A new measurement is started by pressing the "OK" button
This is useful, for example, to carry out reproducible core temperature measurements.
5.2.2 Count Down Timer-Function (AXLD: CO.DO)
With the timer function, a defined time is waited after pressing the "OK" button, after which
the measured value is "frozen"/held it in the display: „XLD“.
This allows, for example, the discharge temperature at drinking water taps to be measured
reproducibly:
Hold the sensor under the tap,
- Open the "cold" tap completely & press OK, after 30s the temperature should have fallen
below 25°C
- Open the "hot" tap completely & press OK, after 30s the temperature should have risen
above 55°C
to check whether the water supply system does not have an increased risk of legionella at
this point.
