11.1 Cleaning
11.1.1 Emptying the container (4) (Fig.3)
WARNING
Empty and clean the product before and after
use to avoid the accumulation of materials
that could pose a fire risk in the product.
1. Remove the container cover (3) from the container (4)
as described in 8.1.
2. Empty the container (4).
11.1.2 Empty the container (4) after wet
vacuuming (Fig.1,13)
1. Remove the drain hose (5) from the holder on the
container.
2. Open the drain plug (5a) when wet dirt is present so
that the liquid sucked up can drain out.
3.
Hold the product by the transport handle (1) and tilt it
slightly to pour out any liquid residue from the container
(4).
4. Close the drain hose (5) again by pressing the drain
plug (5a) into the drain hose (5)
5. To ensure that the container (4) is empty, proceed as
described in 11.1.1.
6. Stow the drain hose (5) in the holder on the container
(4).
11.1.3 Cleaning the foam filter (21) and filter
cartridge (22) (Fig.2,3,8,9)
Clean the foam filter (21) or the filter cartridge (22) if the
suction power decreases.
Note:
Before installing the filter again, make sure that it is dry.
1. Remove all nozzles (17/19) and the telescopic pipe
(16) from the holder (3a/7a).
2. Remove the container cover (3) as described in 8.1.
3. Flip the container cover (3).
4. Pull the foam filter (21) or the filter cartridge (22) off
the filter cage (13).
5. Remove the dust from the foam filter (21) or the filter
cartridge (22) by shaking it out or washing it out if nec-
essary.
6. Allow the foam filter (21) or the filter cartridge (22) to
air dry before attaching and using it again.
7. Reattach the foam filter (21) or the filter cartridge (22)
to the filter cage (13).
8. Close the container (4) with the container cover (3).
11.1.4 Cleaning the filter cartridge (22) with
the self-cleaning lever (13b)
(Fig.9,15)
1. Remove the container cover (3) as described in 8.1.
2. Fit the filter cartridge (22) to the filter cage (13) as de-
scribed under 8.4.3.
3. Refasten the container cover (3) (see as described in
8.1).
4. Connect the mains plug to a suitable power source.
5. Set the on/off switch (11) to the “I” position.
6. Hold the handle (15) on the self-cleaning lever (13b)
so that the air flow is blocked.
7. Press and hold the self-cleaning lever (13b) five times
for 3 seconds each time.
8. This blows air through the filter cartridge (22) to re-
move residue and dirt.
11.2 Maintenance
11.2.1 Replace the paper filter bag (20),
foam filter (21) or filter cartridge (22)
(Fig.7,8,9,12)
1. Remove all nozzles (17/19) and the telescopic pipe
(16) from the holder (3a/7a).
2. Remove the container cover (3) as described in 8.1.
3. Flip the container cover (3).
4. Pull the foam filter (21) or the filter cartridge (22) off
the filter basket (13) or remove the paper filter bag
(20) from the fitting port (9a).
5. To replace the paper filter bag (20), proceed as de-
scribed in 8.4.1.
6. Fit the new foam filter (21) to the filter cage (13) as
described in 8.4.2.
7. Fit the new filter cartridge (22) to the filter cage (13) as
described in 8.4.3.
8. Close the container (4) again with the container cover
(3).
12 Storage and transport
12.1 Storage
• Clean and check the product for damage.
Store the product and its accessories in a dark, dry and
frost-free place that is inaccessible to children.
The optimum storage temperature is between 5°C and
30˚C.
Store the product in its original packaging.
Cover the product to protect it from dust or moisture.
Store the operating manual with the product.
12.2 Transport
1. To transport the product, disconnect the it from the
power supply and set it up in the new position you
want to use it in.
2. The product may only be lifted or transported by the
carrying handle.
3. Lift the product for transport over stairs or obstacles.
4. The product must be secured against tipping and slip-
ping during transport in vehicles in order to prevent
damage and injuries.
13 Electrical connection
The electrical motor installed is connected and ready
for operation. The connection complies with the ap-
plicable VDE and DIN provisions. The customer's
mains connection as well as the extension cable used
must also comply with these regulations.
