Switching on
1. Insert the mains plug into a properly fused mains
socket.
2. Connect a power tool* to the product socket outlet (8).
3. Set the on/off switch (9) to position II.
4. When you switch on the power tool*, the automated
process of switching on the product begins.
Switching off
1. Switch the power tool* off. The product has an auto-
mated switch-off function that activates after a delay
of approximately 6 to 7 seconds.
* = may not be included in the scope of delivery!
10 Working instructions
10.1 Suction function
WARNING
Vacuuming glowing ash as well as flamma-
ble, hazardous substances is prohibited.
There is a danger of injury!
ATTENTION
Fine dusts, such as those from cement, soot and plas-
ter, are too fine to be absorbed. There is a risk that it
could get into the motor and damage it.
ATTENTION
Do not use without a filter!
• Place the product on a level, even surface.
• Do not suck up any hot, glowing, flammable, explosive
or hazardous substances. These include hot ash, pet-
rol, solvents, acids or alkalis.
There is a risk of fire and injury.
• If the products heats up switch the product off and pull
out the mains plug. Let the product cool down out-
doors under supervision.
• Fill the container no more than half way so that the
safety float valve (11a) always remains free (Fig. 1).
1. Attach the hose coupling (12a) to the suction connec-
tion (7) (see 8.5.1).
2. Switch the product on (see 9.1 or 9.2).
10.1.1 Dry vacuuming (Fig.1,2,12)
Note:
Do not use a wet or damp product for dry vacuuming!
1. Insert the paper filter bag (21) into the container (3)
(see 8.4.1).
2. Fit the filter cartridge (23) (see 8.4.3).
3. Connect the hose coupling (12a) to the suction con-
nection (7) (see 8.5.1).
4. Fit the telescopic pipe (14) to the handle (13)
(see 8.8).
Connect the telescopic pipe (14) and one of the noz-
zles (16/19/20).
Vacuuming at table height or in confined spaces:
Proceed as described in 8.9.
5. Hold the suction pipe (12) handle (13) firmly.
6. Switch on the product (see 9.1 or 9.2).
7. Vacuum the area to be cleaned or use it with a power
tool*.
8. If necessary, adjust the suction power by sliding the
slider (13a) on the handle (13) forwards and back-
wards.
9. Switch off the product (see 9.1 or 9.2).
* = may not be included in the scope of delivery!
10.1.2 Wet vacuuming (Fig.1,2)
Note:
A float integrated in the filter basket ensures that the
suction channel is automatically closed as soon as
the container has reached its maximum capacity. In
this case, the product must be switched off and the
container emptied before operation can be continued.
1. Empty the container (3) before wet vacuuming
(see 11.1.1).
2. The container (3) is not suitable for storing liquids.
Empty the container (3) after wet vacuuming
(see 11.1.2).
3. Remove the paper filter bag (21) or the filter cartridge
(23) from the container (3) (see 8.4.1 or 8.4.3).
4. Fit the foam filter (22) (see 8.4.2).
5. Connect the hose coupling (12a) to the suction con-
nection (7) (see 10.1).
6. Attach the telescopic pipe (14) to the handle (13)
(see 8.8).
Connect the telescopic pipe (14) and one of the noz-
zles (17/19/20).
Vacuuming at table height or in confined spaces:
Proceed as described under Use of the various noz-
zles (16/17/19/20), the suction adapter (18) and the
suction hose (15) (Fig.2,12,13), } Page 22.
7. Hold the suction pipe (12) handle (13) firmly.
8. Switch the product on (see 9.1 or 9.2).
9. Vacuum the area to be cleaned.
10. Switch the product off (see 9.1).
11. Clean the product (see 11.1).
10.2 Blast function
WARNING
Danger of injury!
If you direct the airflow at people, animals or objects,
this can cause injury and damage.
– Direct the air flow away from you.
– Never direct the airflow at other people, animals or
objects.
– Do not blow away hard objects such as stones or
branches.
1. Insert the paper filter bag (21) into the container (3)
(see 8.4.1).
2. Fit the foam filter (22) or the filter cartridge (23)
(see 8.4.2 or 8.4.3).
