14. Maintenance
Attention!
Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out any
maintenance work.
Only carry out maintenance and cleaning work when
the motor is switched o and the mains plug has been
disconnected from the mains supply.
14.1 Clamping the drive belt (Fig. 13)
After some time, the drive belt may stretch or be worn,
which means that reliable power transmission from the
motor to the screen drum (14) is no longer guaranteed.
To do this, you need to tighten or replace the drive belt.
1. Unscrew the motor belt cover (16) (Fig. 13) by
loosening the Phillips screws (16a).
2. Adjust the belt tension by loosening the three mo-
tor screws and pushing the motor upwards.
3. If you are no longer able to tighten the drive belt
and/or it is porous, it is worn and you need to
replace it.
4. Hold the motor with one hand and tighten the mo-
tor screws with the other hand.
5. Reattach the motor belt cover (16).
14.2 Adjusting the brush strip
The brush strip cleans the drum during operation to re-
move any material that may have adhered to it. If the
brush strip is not adjusted correctly, material can build
up on the drum, reducing screening eciency and po-
tentially clogging the drum.
Therefore, adjust the brush strip if necessary.
1. To do this, loosen the three Allen screws with a
4mm Allen key and push the brush strip to the de-
sired position.
2. The distance between the brush strip and the
drum should be set so that the bristles lightly touch
the drum without applying excessive pressure.
3. Then tighten the screws hand-tight.
Check the electrical connection cables for damage
regularly. Ensure that the connection cables are dis-
connected from electrical power when checking for
damage.
Electrical connection cables must comply with the ap-
plicable VDE and DIN provisions. Only use connection
cables of the same designation.
The printing of the type designation on the connection
cable is mandatory.
For single-phase AC motors, we recommend a fuse
rating of C 16A or K 16A for products with a high start-
ing current (from 3000 watts)!
Connection type Y
If it is necessary to replace the mains connection ca-
ble, this must be done by the manufacturer or their rep-
resentative to avoid safety hazards.
12. Cleaning
Danger!
Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out any
cleaning work.
• Remove material residues regularly to avoid block-
ages.
• Do not use aggressive chemicals or high-pressure
cleaners. Do not splash the product with water. Dan-
ger due to electric shock!
• Keep protective devices, air vents and the motor
housing as free of dust and dirt as possible. Rub the
product clean with a clean cloth or blow it o with
compressed air at low pressure.
• We recommend that you clean the product directly
after every use.
• Clean the product at regular intervals using a damp
cloth and a little soft soap. Do not use any cleaning
products or solvents; they could attack the plastic
parts of the product. Make sure that no water can
penetrate the interior of the product. Water penetra-
tion increases the risk of an electric shock.
13. Storage

a damp environment!
