ing into account the safety instructions and the dimen-
sions given (see Fig. 1).
9 Operation
The cordless drill with 2-gear transmission has a 20+1
level torque adjustment, clockwise/anticlockwise rotation,
quick-release chuck and an LED work lamp.
Please refer to the following descriptions for the function
of the controls.
WARNING
Danger of injury!
Remove the battery from the power tool before carrying
out any work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance, tool
change, etc.) and when transporting and storing it.
There is a risk of injury if the on/off switch is operated
unintentionally.
ATTENTION
Make sure that the ambient temperature does not ex-
ceed 50°C and does not fall below -20°C during work.
ATTENTION
The product may only be operated with the original bat-
teries. Batteries may only be charged with the original
battery chargers. Observe the manufacturer's instruc-
tions.
9.1 Inserting/removing the battery (7)
into/from the battery mount (9)
(Fig. 3)
Inserting the battery
1. Put the rotational direction switch (6) in the middle po-
sition (lock).
2. Push the battery (7) into the battery mount (9). The
battery (7) clicks into place audibly.

move it from the battery mount (9).
9.2 Checking the battery charge status
(Fig. 4)
The battery charge level (5) indicates the charge level of
the battery (7).
The charge level of the battery (7) is indicated by the cor-

WARNING
Observe the following information to reduce
hazards:
– Never leave batteries to charge unsupervised!
– Remove rechargeable batteries from the charger af-
ter charging.
– Do not over-charge batteries! Observe the maxi-
mum charging times. These charging times only ap-
ply to discharged batteries. Inserting a charged or
partially charged battery multiple times leads to
overloading and cell damage. Do not leave batteries
in the battery charger for multiple days.
– Never use or charge batteries if you suspect that
they were last charged more than 12 months ago.
The probability is high that the battery is already
dangerously damaged (deep discharge).
Charge the battery at an ambient temperature of 4 °C to
40°C.
1. Push the battery (7) into the battery charger mount
(13) as far as it will go.
2. Plug the mains plug into the socket. As soon as the
charging process starts, the LED (14) lights up red.
3. LED (14) lights up green when charging is complete.
The battery (7) is ready for use.
ATTENTION
– If the LED lights up green although the battery is
discharged, the battery is either overheated or de-
fective.
4. Pull the battery (7) out of the battery charger mount
(13).
5. Wait at least 15 min until a new charging process.
Therefore, pull the mains plug out of the outlet.
9.4 Depleted batteries
• A significantly shortened operating time despite
charging indicates that the battery has been used up
and needs to be replaced. Only use original replace-
ment batteries.
• In any case, observe the applicable safety instructions
as well as regulations and instructions on environmen-
tal protection (see “Disposal and recycling”).
