Charging the portable power station BSG300/
BSG500 from scheppach via DC/AC connection
port (14):
Please note that the charging current depends on the
current sunlight and can therefore vary widely. When
the intensity of the sunlight is too low, charging can
stop automatically. As soon as the solar panel is ex-
posed to more sunlight again, the charging process
starts automatically.
1. Unfold the solar panel completely and face it to
the sun.
2. To charge the portable power station using the
connection cable (7) provided, connect it to the
input socket on your portable power station.
3. The charging process will now start automatically.
4. The display shows how many amps the solar
panel is currently delivering. You can switch con-
sumption on and o󰀨 using the button (11). If the
“lamp” symbol is shown on the display, the con-
sumer is switched on.
Note: Please note that the input of your connected
DC device must be between 12V and 15V.
Charging via USB port (12):
Please note that the charging current depends on the
current sunlight and can therefore vary widely. When
the intensity of the sunlight is too low, charging can
stop automatically. As soon as the solar panel is ex-
posed to more sunlight again, the charging process
starts automatically.
1. Unfold the solar panel completely and face it to
the sun.
2. To charge smartphones or tablets using the USB
port (12), connect the USB cable of your device to
the USB port (12) of the solar panel.
3. After you have connected the other end of the
charging cable to the input socket on your device,
the charging process will start automatically.
Note: We recommend realigning the solar panel
every now and then during prolonged use in order to
achieve maximum income.
- b07: Battery type for lithium-ion batteries (Li-
ion battery) with four strings.
Note: The charge voltage values cannot be mod-
ied.
4. To conrm the entered battery type, press and
hold the menu button until the display stops ash-
ing.
5. Long press the menu button (9) to exit the set-
tings.
9. Start up
For optimal use of the solar panel, choose a location
with the highest possible solar radiation and few ob-
stacles (overhanging branches, etc.).
Charge controller (g. 4)
The charge controller regulates the current between
the solar panel, the battery/portable power station
and the consumers. The display shows all important
information during the charging process.
The charge controller has three di󰀨erent connection
options for the solar module (13), for the power sta-
tion (14) and for the consumers (15). In addition, the
controller has two USB ports and you can use the
settings to program the charge controller to charge
the portable power station.
Programming the charge controller (g. 4 - 5)
1. Press the menu button (9) to access the main set-
tings menu (16).
2. By pressing the menu button (9) again you can
scroll through the various setting options:
- Setting of the timer (17). The timer automati-
cally disconnects all consumers from the net-
work. If you set an hour here, for example,
the product will automatically disconnect all
consumers from the network in one hour. The
product will be switched on again automatically
within 24 hours after programming.
- Setting of the battery type (18) of the portable
power station (see also section “Setting of the
battery type”).
3. Then, press and hold the menu button (9) for the
desired setting option until the display ashes.
Now press the “up” (10) and “down” buttons (11) to
set the desired parameters for this setting.
4. To conrm the new values, press and hold the
menu button (9) until the display stops ashing.
5. Long press the menu button (9) to exit the set-
tings.
