Checkpoints
If you encounter a problem with the washing machine, first check the table below and try the suggestions.
Problem Action
Does not start.
• Make sure the washing machine is plugged in and supplied with sufficient
power.
• Check the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
• If the water level is lower than expected, the washing machine does not
start.
• Make sure Delay End is not activated.
Water is not supplied.
• Make sure the washing machine is plugged in.
• Check the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
• Make sure the water hoses are connected properly and the water taps are
open.
• Make sure the washing machine is running with sufficient water pressure.
• Check if the mesh is blocked by dirt. If it is, clean the mesh filter.
Does not drain.
• Make sure the drain hose is installed within the allowed height range.
• Make sure the end of the drain hose is not submerged by water.
• Make sure the drain filter is not clogged.
Does not spin.
• Make sure the lid is closed.
• Make sure laundry is spread out evenly. If not, redistribute the load.
• Make sure the washing machine is on a flat, stable surface.
• The motor belt might be loosened. Call for service.
The washing machine is
off, but the water inside
the tub drains.
• Do not leave the lid open for more than 30 seconds if you have filled the
tub with water. For child safety, the water inside the tub will automatically
drain if the lid is kept open for more than 30 seconds.
Information codes
If the washing machine fails to operate, you may see an information code on the display. Check the table
below and try the suggestions.
Code Meaning Action
E1 • Water is not supplied. • Make sure the water taps are open.
E2 • Lid is open. • Close the lid.
E3 • Unbalance load. • Manually redistribute the load by hand.
E4 • Water is not draining. • Check the water level sensor and the drain valve.
E5 • Water is overflowed. • Check the water level sensor and the water inlet.
If any information code keeps appearing on the screen, contact a local Samsung service center.
