FRESH SALSA

MAKES 2 CUPS (500 ML)

INGREDIENTS

1 pint grape tomatoes

1 jalapeno seeded and membrane removed

2 green onions

2 cloves garlic

1 tomatillo, husks removed

1/2 cup (125 ml) fresh cilantro

2 tbsp (30 ml) fresh lime juice

1½ tsp (8 ml) kosher salt

1 can (10 oz/300 ml) tomatoes with green chilies

DIRECTIONS

1. Place all the ingredients in the blender jar in the order listed above.

2. Secure the lid.

3. Press the pulse button for 1 second and release. Do these multiple

times until all the ingredients have been chopped evenly.

4. Pour the salsa into a bowl, taste for additional seasoning.

5. Serve with warm tortillas.
