Making Settings for the Input Channels

Manipulating Two Channels As a Pair
(Stereo Link)
Using the Stereo Link feature lets you simultaneously manipulate
two adjacent channels, one odd-numbered and one even (1 and 2,
3 and 4, 5 and 6, or 7 and 8).
Use this when you’re inputting a stereo sound source to the S-0808.
When Stereo Link is on, the gain, pad, and other settings made on
the odd-numbered channel are automatically copied to the even-
numbered channel.
Switching On Stereo Link
1. Turn the [CHANNEL] knob to select one of the channels
you want to link.
If you want to link channels 7 and 8, choose [07] or [08].
2. Hold down the [CLIP CLEAR/ENTER] button and turn the
[CHANNEL] knob clockwise.
This switches on Stereo Link.
3. Release the [CLIP CLEAR/ENTER] button.
When you release the [CLIP CLEAR/ENTER] button, while the stereo
link is on, two periods (“.”) appear in the channel number shown on
the numerical display.
(Example) When ch 7 and 8 are linked
Switching O Stereo Link
NOTE
Switching o Stereo Link does not make the values and other
settings go back to what they were before Stereo Link was
switched on. The values made while linked remain in eect.
1. Turn the [CHANNEL] knob to select one of the channels
you want to unlink.
2. Hold down the [CLIP CLEAR/ENTER] button and turn the
[CHANNEL] knob counterclockwise.
This switches o Stereo Link.
3. Release the [CLIP CLEAR/ENTER] button.
When you release the [CLIP CLEAR/ENTER] button, while the stereo
link is o, the two periods that are displayed disappear from the
numerical display.
MEMO
Even when Stereo Link is on, you can still switch +48 V phantom
power on and o independently for individual channels.
