Introduction
Thank you, and congratulations on your choice of the S-240P external power supply unit.
The S-240P is designed for use with devices such as the S-4000S, S-4000H, and M-5000. Supplying the device you’re using with backup power from
the S-240P makes possible continuous uninterrupted operation in the event of sudden failure of the device’s internal power-supply circuit or if the
device’s power switch is inadvertently turned o. It prevents interruption of audio caused by power-supply trouble.
As a further measure against power-supply trouble, we recommend connecting the device you’re using and the S-240P to dierent power sources.
Connect each power plug to a separate power outlet. Using separate sources to supply power ensures that if either the S-240P or the device you’re
using loses power, system operation can continue without interruption as long as the other unit continues to receive power.
