Basic Operations
1
Press the [ (POWER)] button two times to turn on power.

Unlock the rear cover, then open it.

Remove the battery case.

Insert eight batteries into the battery case.
Please insert the batteries as shown in the figure, taking care to orient the positive and
negative terminals correctly.

Replace the battery case into the F-1.
6
Close the rear cover, then lock it.
7
Set the battery type.
Select the type of battery used from the Menu screen. See “Setting Battery Type” on the
next page for details.
Inserting the Batteries
Battery case
Do not allow any foreign metal objects to
touch the terminals of the battery case. Doing
so may cause the batteries to short and the
battery case may overheat or catch fire.
