This models a compressor with a built-in expander, such as those found on
professional-grade mixers.

0.00–1.00 Compression ratio
The eect works as a limiter when
the value is set to maximum.
COMPRESS
RELEASE
0–4000 [msec] Adjusts the time after the input
signal volume falls below the
threshold until compression stops.

OFF, ON When this is ON, the compressor
switches to fast mode, in which 20
dB of compression is applied within
3 msec.

THRESHOLD
0.0–-60.0 [dB] Adjusts the sound level at which
compression starts.
EXPAND
RANGE
0.00–1.00 Adjusts the degree to which the
expander/gate eect is applied.
When this is set to 0.00, the eect
is disabled; and when this is set to
1.00, a maximum of 50 dB noise is
suppressed.

RELEASE
0–4000 [msec] Sets the speed at which the
expander eect is intensied after
the signal level falls below the
threshold.

-60–0 [dB] Sets the threshold (minimum level)
with which noise suppression is
applied.

FAST ATK
OFF, ON When this is ON, the eect switches
to fast mode, in which the volume
is restored at a rate of 40 dB per 100
μsec.
When this is OFF, the rate is 40 dB per
1.5 msec.
EXPAND GATE
OFF, ON When this is ON, sounds at a level
below the threshold are suppressed.
