Rotate the balance knob or </> button on the remote control to adjust the left/right balance
of the unit output. Range is +3/-3.

Switching On and Off
The QUAD 33 should be switched on before the amplification stage in your system. When
switching off your system, turn off the amplifier stage before switching off the QUAD 33
(The QUAD 33 should be "first on, last off".)
Standby Mode
After initial power on, the QUAD 33 will be in 'Standby' mode and the standby
button will be dimly illuminated. To use the QUAD 33, press the 'Standby' button to
wake from standby. The backlight will illuminate and the display will become active as
the unit enters the operational mode.
Source Select
Press the aux1/aux2/aux3/xlr/phono buttons (on the remote control or front panel of the
device) to select the input source.
The aux2/aux3 button on the remote control will cycle between aux2 and aux3.
In phono mode, you can press phono button to cycle select MM/MC mode.
The LED buttons will be illuminated when the source is changed.
Volume Control
Rotate the VOL knob on the front panel, or use the Volume up/down keys on the remote
control, to set the volume level.
Mute
Press the mute button on the remote control to activate or deactivate the mute function.
Press the tone button on the front panel or the remote control to active the ‘tone’ function.
The tone button will illuminate to indicate ‘tone’ control mode is activated).
Rotate the ‘bass’ or ‘tilt’ knob or press the corresponding buttons on the remote control to
adjust ’tone’ settings.
The ‘tone’ settings bass range is -3dB to +3dB. The ‘Tilt’ range is +3/-3dB to -3/+3dB.

Press the backlight button on the remote control to enable or disable the display and
function button backlight.
Use the -/+ button on the remote control to decrease/increase the display backlight level.
There are three levels of illumination. Default setting is L2.
You can also adjust the brightness by long pressing the backlight button on the front panel,
then pressing again quickly to change between settings L1, L2, and L3.
When the backlight is disabled, it will light briefly upon any source or control change, and
then turn off again after a few seconds.
