OVEN RACKS (Some models may come with only one oven rack.)
The racks are designed with stop locks. When placed correctly
on the rack supports, they will stop before coming completely
out of the oven and will not tilt when you are removing food
from them or placing food on them.
To remove the racks from the oven, pull them toward you, tilt
front end upward and pull them out.
DO NOT USE THE OVEN COMPARTMENT FOR A STORAGE AREA. ITEMS STORED IN THE OVEN CAN IGNITE.
PLACE OVEN RACKS IN DESIRED POSITION WHILE THE OVEN AND OVEN RACKS ARE COOL.
ROASTING
Roasting is oven cooking of tender cuts of meat and poultry. Low temperature roasting cooks meat to an appetizing brown
without undue loss of juices and minimum shrinkage. It also reduces spattering and keeps oven cleanup at a minimum.
STAND AWAY FROM THE RANGE WHEN OPENING THE
DOOR OF A HOT OVEN. THE HOT AIR AND STEAM WHICH
ESCAPE CAN CAUSE BURNS.
PULLING OUT RACK TO THE RACKSTOP IS A CONVENIENCE
IN LIFTING HEAVY FOODS.
DO NOT PLACE HEAVY FOOD ON OVEN DOOR.
WHEN USING COOKING OR ROASTING BAGS IN OVEN,
FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURER’S DIRECTIONS.
For Best Results:
1. Check weight of meat and place, fat side up, on roasting rack in a shallow pan.
2. Place on oven shelf in middle or lower position. Close oven door.
3. Set oven control at 325⁰ F.
4. Follow time suggested on the roasting chart in your favorite cookbook. These times are only a guide as meat cuts will differ.
A meat thermometer is the only accurate test for doneness.
