4.2 Communication channels not supported
4.2.1 Receiving emails
For security reasons, the signaling system does not process any incoming emails.
Furthermore, many email servers limit the number of times that an inbox can be opened
per day. In order for the signaling system to be able to respond promptly to incoming
emails, it must regularly read out the inbox from the server at very short time intervals.
Many email services inhibit this function.
Communication via SMS is a suitable alternative.
4.2.2 GPRS communication between two cellular network devic-
es
Many cellular network providers prevent direct GPRS communication between cellular
network devices that use standard SIM cards. This special function is not supported be-
cause it is heavily dependent on the cellular network provider.
