4.5 Installation
4.5.1 Mounting the switch in a rack
A minimum of two mounting brackets must be installed. Four mounting brackets are pro-
vided for high shock/vibration applications.
NOTE:
Install screws in all locations. To maintain the IP40 rating place a screw in each lo-
cation, even if the bracket is not used.

1. Attach the mounting brackets (1) to the switch using the M4 screws (2) provided.
2. Repeat step 1 for all four brackets.
3. Place the device in the desired location on the rack (3) using the mounting hardware
(4 and 5) provided with the rack to secure the device in place.
When both front and rear brackets are used, the switch must have clearance above
or below in the rack to be angled (with the mounting brackets installed) and placed
inside the rack mounting rails.
