3.2.3 Serial port/line modules

Serial port/line modules can communicate on the RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 layer.

They can be configured for raw socket and Modbus server/client.

3.2.4 Computing port/line modules

FL SWITCH EP7400-MCP… port/line modules are available with either the Microsoft®

Windows 11 operating system or Ubuntu® Desktop v. 22.04.3 LTS operating system. Four

storage sizes are available: 256 GB SSD, 512 GB SSD, 1 TB SSD and 2 TB SSD. The FL

SWITCH EP7400-MCP… provides one HDMI port (version 1.4 port supporting 1080p),

one USB 2.0 port, one USB 3.0 port, one RS-232 console port, and one 10/100/1000TX

RJ45 Ethernet port.

The FL SWITCH EP7400-MCP… port/line modules have a -40 … 70°C ambient operating

temperature.

3.2.5 PoE port/line modules

Installation of a PoE port/line modules allows the FL SWITCH EP7… to provide power

across the RJ45 communication cables to power devices that conform to the PoE stan-

dard.
