USB port

The USB 2.0 port can be used with a USB memory stick to upgrade firmware, back up the

configuration files or transfer Syslog Files. Live access to the switch configuration and di-

agnostics is only provided through the console port or an Ethernet connection using one

of the 28 ports. The USB port does not provide PC access to switch configuration and di-

agnostic information.

The reset button in the power supply LED area restarts the switch if pressed for less than

2 s. If pressed for more than 2 s in conjunction with secure console commands restores

the switch to the factory default configuration and IP address.

Terminal block

Used to wire to the power supplies, alarm contact, and future internal module options.

Port/Line modules 1-3

10/100/1000 Mbps slots accept up to eight port/line modules, typically for device con-

nections. These slots also support IEE1588-based Precision Time Protocol (PTP) timing

signals

Port/Line module 4

One Gigabit/10 Gigabit slot accepts a four-port module, typically used for network trunk

uplinks, but can also be used for added device connections This slot does NOT support

IEEE 1588-based PTP signals.

The FL SWITCH EP7400-ABLK blank slot filler plate protects empty slots from en-

vironmental contamination and unauthorized access to slot connectors. It may be

installed over slots 1-4.
