5.4.2 PROFINET diagnostic messages/alarms under STEP 7

The PROFIsafe connection is faulty (not

synchronized).

Internal device error

– In the PROFINET part of

the device, e.g., internal

device watchdog (FS

LED is off or flashing)

– In the safety-related part

of the device (FS LED is

on)

Remedy:

Remove the cause of the error (e.g.,

Ethernet network overload due to

unintentional ring structures).

This operating state can only be exited

by switching the supply voltage of the

safe PROFINET gateway off and on

again.

In addition, this state can be exited by

means of a device reset if the error has

occurred in the non-safety-related part of

the device.
