4 Startup and validation

4.1 Initial startup

The following information for the startup and operation of the FL PN/PN SDIO-2TX/2TX

must be observed.

Familiarization with the previous sections of this user manual is essential in order to carry

out the steps listed in the following table correctly. The section in the appendix of this

manual which corresponds to the previous sections must also be observed.

For initial startup, proceed as described in Table 4-1 on page 47.

WARNING: System/machine safety function only available following validation

Take appropriate measures to ensure that your system/machine does not present any

danger during startup and validation.

The following table describes all the steps from unpacking the FL PN/PN SDIO-2TX/2TX

and mounting/installation to startup.

Remove the device from the packaging while observing the

Switch on the power supply to the device.

Make sure that the PROFINET devices (PROFINET IO controller and PROFINET IO devices) used in your

application have been mounted and installed correctly before connecting the supply voltage.
