3.2.2 Creating a switch in the station
Open the “Template” sidebar and drag the “ERS1000” template to the lower area (data-
base) of the Device Manager. The “Deploy” dialog appears for creating an instance of the
template. Assign a name for the new switch here.

An input screen with setting values then appears for configuring the switch. The meaning of
the input fields is explained in the Section 3.4 “Interfaces to the Building Management Sys-
tem (BMS)”, Section 4.1 “Configuring the home screen”, and Section 4.2 “Configurable nav-
igation sequence”. You can also change these values later. For this, use the input screen in
the “templateConfig” folder below each switch. None of the input fields may remain empty.

3.2.3 Connecting the template to a discovered switch (Match)
• Select a switch in the “Discovered” panel (top) and the previously created instance of
the template in the “Database” panel (bottom).
• Then select one of the two buttons for “Match” (Figure 3-11) at the bottom and fill in the
configuration screen (Figure 3-12).
Note: The database panel has two different buttons for “Match”: the versions differ
with regard to the default parameters that appear on the following configuration
screen.
