1.5 Meaning of the safety symbols
On the workbench, various safety symbols inform the user of hazards.
To ensure that the user is alerted to potential hazards, never remove, damage or cover the
safety symbols.
Table 1-1 Safety symbols
Safety symbols Location Meaning
Marking on the top left
of the workbench
Notice of hazard from dangerous contact voltage. Disconnect
the workbench from the mains before carrying out assembly
work. This is particularly important when removing the cover
of the control unit.
Marking on the top left
of the workbench
Notice of hazard and risk of physical injury when moving the
workbench.
Marking for the base Observe the maximum possible extension length of the four
holders for accessories on the side of the workbench (e.g., for
supporting arms)
Marking on the acces-
sory
Observe the maximum extension length of the vertical tube
connections of accessories (e.g., holder for devices)
Marking for the socket
strip
Observe the maximum power of the devices attached to the
workbench.
The maximum power is:
– 3500 W for AS-WORKBENCH-F 90 MA
– 1800 W for AS-WORKBENCH-F 90 US MA
– 3000 W for AS-WORKBENCH-F 90 MA 230-G
– 3500 W for AS-WORKBENCH-F 90 MA 230-E
– 3500 W for AS-WORKBENCH-F 90 MA 230-L
– 4800 W for AS-WORKBENCH-F 90 MA 230-I
– 2500 W for AS-WORKBENCH-F 90 MA 230-AI
