Basic functions
Switching on/ to standby and
selecting functions
1 Press STANDBY-ON to switch on (or B on
the remote control).
➜ STANDBY-ON lamp lights green.
2 To select your function, press SOURCE once
or more (or DISC, TV, TUNER or AV on the
remote control).
3 Press STANDBY-ON to switch the set to
standby (or B on the remote control).
➜ STANDBY-ON lamp lights red.
Helpful hints:
– In the standby mode, volumn level, sound
settings and tuner presets will be retained in the
set’s memory.
Volume Control
● Press VOLUME +/- to adjust the volume.
➜ Volume bar appears on the LCD screen.
To listen through the headphone
➜ Connect the headphone plug to the socket at
the top of the set.
➜ The speaker will be muted.
To switch off the volume temporarily
● Press MUTE on the remote control.
➜ Playback will continue without sound, and
"MUTE" displays.
● To activate sound reproduction, you may:
– press MUTE again;
– adjust the volume controls;
Sound Control
DBB (Dynamic Bass Boost)
DBB enhances the bass responses.
● Press DBB on the remote control to enable/
disable DBB feature.
➜ Some discs might be recorded in high
modulation, which causes a distortion at high
volume. If this occurs, switches off DBB or
reduce the volume.
DSC
Digital Sound Control enables you to select
predefined sound settings.
● Press DSC repeatedly to select your desired
sound setting:
➜ CLASSIC, POP, MOVIE or SPEECH is
displayed.
● Press OSD to check your DSC setting.
